President, Founder

Geoffrey Gordon

Over the past 30+ years, Geoff has built a strong track record for successfully commercializing new technologies as co-founder and R&D leader of multiple successful startups. Throughout that time, he has continued to lead in defining and deploying new technologies, focusing on the areas of clinical research informatics and medical product safety. As part of founding Commonwealth Informatics, Geoff led the Commonwealth consulting business which served to fund product development and also resulted in development of signal detection methods in partnerships with US and UK regulators and pharmaceutical companies. Geoff managed the scaleup of Commonwealth from the three person core team to come the preferred choice for Signal Detection and Management world-wide.

James Bellamy

James brings a varied background of experience across systems integration consulting, program leadership, cloud operations and product management. James began his career at Accenture, where he designed and implemented PV solutions for the MHRA and other Life Sciences organizations, before leaving to work in a variety of industries helping to deliver complex technology change programs within large organizations. Returning to the life sciences sphere, James has helped design and launch innovative machine learning based PV products and cloud based solutions and services. At Commonwealth James is accountable for DevOps, AWS Infrastructure, IT and Product Integrations, and is central to the delivery and ongoing improvement of our cloud architecture and SaaS services.

Senior Vice President Product Management

Bill Blackwell

Bill has been delivering software tools that help regulators and industry make informed decisions about medical product safety for more than 30 years. In his current role at Commonwealth Informatics he leads our work to define the next generation of signal management software in the form of the Commonwealth Vigilance Workbench. The Workbench integrates signal detection results from multiple sources and supports safety evaluators in efficiently reviewing statistical alerts, assessing signals, documenting the scientific evaluation, and tracking the work performed. Prior to Commonwealth Informatics, Bill held a series of director-level positions at Lincoln Technologies, Phase Forward, and Oracle contributing to the success of several pioneering systems for pharmacovigilance.
Vice President Healthcare Services

Bob Zambarano

Bob has been with Commonwealth for nearly 10 years, and has over thirty years of professional experience working with data management and data analysis software systems, primarily in life sciences research settings. He has extensive hands-on technical skills, including systems specification, design, development, implementation, configuration and management, as well as extensive project management experience. At Commonwealth Informatics, Bob oversees Public Health informatics projects involving CII proprietary and bespoke software systems as well as a number of open source products include ESPHealth and EpiTrax.

CUSTOMER SUCCESS OFFICER

Simon Brooks

Simon carries a valuable combination of pharma industry IT and startup software vendor experience. His background includes many years in Pharma IT, including managing teams at GSK and building the IT function at Indivior. He was the early design lead on the Argus Clinical Safety suite of products for Relsys (but now owned by Oracle) and has additionally held positions at My Meds & Me as CTO, Oracle as Product Champion, and at IQVIA. At Commonwealth, Simon holds the responsibility for overall Customer Success. He works closely with Product Management and Product Development ensuring that customer success is central to our planning and operations as well as our service delivery.
